Rearguard Mission Briefing

Summary

Just days ago, the city of Taizhil, manufacturing hub for the The Izyan Coalition and home to ten million people, was eradicated by nuclear bombardment by the Jovangellian Empire.  While the people of The Pillars and The Verdant Coast mourn, a squad from the Terra-Rising Brigade must traverse the still-smoking ruins in search of anything, or anyone, they can pull from the wreckage.

Objective

Bring back people and things. We have reason to believe certain assets had enough protection to survive the blast. If we're to rebuild the Coalition's capacity, we need these critical pieces of infrastructure. Furthermore, there may be some survivors, holed up in bunkers or trapped in the wreckage. Any living person must be brought to Worm's Head for immediate medical treatment.

Target

Officially, this is a non-combat action. However, we expect there will be other squads moving in on Taizhil, be they independent scavengers or Jovangellian looters.

Rules of Engagement

Protection: do not allow (further) damage to come to the production assets.
Search & Rescue: Retrieve all survivors you come across.
Pre-emptive use of force: The squad should only attack if they've been attacked first.
