Essyl

The Celestial Giantess

For much of her life, Essyl had been entirely alone. Having no memory of her parents, she grew up as a street urchin, surviving by pilfering pockets or relieving food vendors of their wares. That continued until a fateful day in her adolescence, in which she stole a necklace from a robed woman. The woman was staggeringly beautiful and excessively proportioned, and carried no ill will for Essyl's theft. Realizing that the urchin had no one, she offered to adopt her as her own.

Thus began a tutelage under her adoptive mother, a practitioner of the arcane arts. While Essyl did show an aptitude of understanding for magical studies, she soon came to realize that she possessed a power all her own. As she grew, her body became taller and taller, towering over her mother and soon wielding curvature that made her caretaker seem miniscule. What's more, strange runic tattoos branded themselves upon her thighs, and she seemed to be able to draw upon the arcane energies in her body to cast spells.

The analytical Essyl was confounded to no end by the origin of her power, and she sought to learn more about herself somehow. Understanding Essyl's desires, she and her mother worked to grant her passageway to the Astral Sea, in which Essyl ventured out alone to learn more of herself. For years and years she wandered, only coming across a gorgeous being of starlight in a chance encounter for a brief moment. The only way she knew they were related was by the similar markings upon their body, though the answers given to her were rather cryptic and only brought forth more questions. In time, Essyl found herself returning to the material plane, in search of further enlightenment.
