Zunos lies at the confluence of the Greenflow and Marrow Rivers, deep within the Emerald Canopy. It is both fortress and sanctuary, blending seamlessly into the surrounding forest. High walls of ivy-covered stone and timber encircle the city, reinforced by colossal trees whose roots and trunks have been shaped into natural battlements and watchtowers.

The most iconic feature of Zunos is the Verdant Bastion — a massive, ancient oak at the city’s heart, grown and shaped over centuries into a living citadel. Its branches stretch over the rooftops, while its hollow trunk houses halls, council chambers, and sanctuaries.

Zunos is laid out like a ring, with the rivers flowing through and under bridges that connect its quarters:

The Root Ward: The oldest district, clustered around the Verdant Bastion, filled with council halls, temples, and noble dwellings.
