Sergeant Melancholy grew up as a mason in the Gold Drought enclave. He was taken from his home at a young age and forced to take care of an Elder Brain. He was liberated during The Night War. He and three hundred captives were freed by the brave soldiers of their home enclave. Between the neglect and abuse they had suffered at the hands of the mindflayers, and the dangers of the Underdark, only forty made it home.
Melancholy is an adopted name representing the trauma and loss that the dwarf experienced during that time. He is currently serving as a Scout for Gold Drought on Flint Barrens Construction Company, and a liaison to the the Hills Rising Movement. The Enclave is willing to supply arms to the anarchist uprising.
