Named after the simple fact that they are on the coast the House of Shore is religious without sharing the fundamentalism of the neighbouring Houses they stick to the guidance of the religiously inclined House of Twain but unlike the House of Kom they go no further and those prohibitions they do enforce they do so without enthusiasm.
There are those who think the House is too soft on religious matters and they have recently formed a breakaway faction founding a commune in Libba. Several families from the citadel have recently left for the commune on a wagon train pulled by giant hounds.

Crabs which are the sign of their house are available in abundance on the beaches of their land and whilst the seas are unfishable due to the prevalence of sea monsters the crabs provide seafood to the Barony. They are not the same as the monstrous crabs that fill the beaches of the Barony of Hoten, they are only a foot long and pose little threat.

The Shore are also great carpenter and excel in the production of natural wooden furniture the style of which is greatly admired across The Kingdom.

Their Rangers are a relatively small force and confine themselves to policing the settlements and making sure they are safe from marauding creatures. Where they can they do their best to spare the creatures lives, incapacitating them and relocating them away from the humans. To do this they employ blow darts with which they are highly trained and extremely accurate.

The Shore have many envoys from The Society of the Bond Order of the Natural Sciences but the societies desire to take more members of the Order of Holy Justice to combat the threat of radicalism in their lands has so far been resisted by the House.
