The House of Trem have a long standing legion of Rangers whose care for the woods is prescribed in the mannuals of the Fedean and is seen as fulfilling their religious duty to The Society of the Bond. The rangers of the House long ago would pin these tags on trees - especially tall and old ones. The plaque records the trees health and progress through the years.
The function of this ancient object is unknown it was found with a handful of others at a recent archeological dig in the great woods around Silent Bay.
