This station is typically located near the Helm and provides a strategic overview of the exterior. As the starship's captain, you direct the crew, communicate with other starships, and make critical decisions. Captains typically have high Wisdom or Charisma scores.
Station Actions. One f the following station actions can be taken at this station each round. As normal, station actions cannot be readied.
- Assume Leadership. Roll a d20 and record the roll. Until the start of your next turn, whenever a crew member on the ship rolls a d20 for an attack roll or saving throw, you may replace that d20 roll with the recorded result. You can do this after the crew makes a roll, but must replace the roll before learning whether the roll succeeds or fails.
- Issue Orders. Choose a number of stations up to your Charisma modifier and make a DC 10 Charisma check. On a successful check, you grant a bonus to the next attack roll or ability check an ally makes at the chosen station before the start of your next turn. The bonus equals 1d4. If your check exceeds the DC by 10 or more, the bonus becomes 2d4 instead.
- Open Communications. You hail another starship within 2 miles to communicate with it.
