Station Upgrades

Medical Lab Upgrade

Cost: 500 C

This advanced version of the medical lab has 5 charges instead of 3. Expending a charge grants the benefits of a vita-gel v4 instead of a vita-gel v2.

Helm Station Upgrade

Cost: 80 C

Even if there is no pilot at the helm when the starship determines its initiative in the Starship Phase, the starship can make a roll instead of taking a result of 0.

Engine Station Upgrade

Cost: 500 C

When the engineer takes the Boost Engine action, the starship's fly speed is increased to double the amount listed on a successful check. Additionally, when the engineer takes the Vent Engine action, the starship's fly speed is increased by 300 feet instead of 200. However, the damage from the Vent Engines action increases to 3d6.

Energy Bay Upgrade

Cost: 450 C

Immediately after a gunner takes the Fire Weapon action on its turn, the gunner may choose to fire one additional shot with the weapon as part of this action. The Recharge value for that weapon is multiplied by three until it is armed again.

Engine Station Upgrade

Cost: 75 C for each space the new engine occupies.

An engine with a Current Skimmer is capable of propelling the starship into the Current. When installing this upgrade, the engine's minimum size becomes the starship's dimensions divided by three, instead of divided by five.

Shield Station Upgrade

Cost: 100 C

Even if the Shields Station is disabled, the shielder can still take the Replenish Shields action. The number of Shield Points gained this way equals 5 times the level of the spell slot expended instead of 10 times the level.

Any Station Upgrade

Cost: 150 C

If a station equipped with an emergency battery loses power (typically caused by engine failure), the station remains powered for up to 1 hour instead. Once this property is used, it cannot be used again until the station is powered for 24 hours, during which the energy battery recharges.

Helm Station Upgrade

Cost: 300 C + the cost of the chosen blaster weapon

The helm is merged with a miniaturized energy bay station, allowing a pilot to take station actions granted by a helm and energy bay. Solo-pilot corvettes are typically outfitted with an integrated cockpit.

When the pilot takes a station action granted by the helm, the pilot can also take the Fire Weapon action as part of that action. However, the normal and long range of this attack is halved.

Missile Bay Upgrade

Cost: 500 C

The station is equipped with a machine that assists with loading missiles. When the gunner makes an ability check to load a missile and fails, it can reroll the d20 and must use the new result.

Any Weapons Bay Upgrade

Cost: 75 C

When the gunner takes the Fire Weapon action and makes a ranged attack roll, they may use their Dexterity modifier in place of the starship's Dexterity modifier.

Shield Station Upgrade

Cost: 500 C

When the shielder takes the Optimize Shields or Replenish Shields actions, the starship regains 5 additional Shield Points.

Helm Station Upgrade

Cost: 500 C

When the pilot takes the Forward Charge action and hits another object with the ship, the starship only takes half as much damage.

Shield Station Upgrade

Cost: 750 C

The shielder can take the following station action at a shield station with this upgrade.

Reroute Power. You transfer a portion of your shields to empower an energy weapon. The starship loses 10 Shield Points. If the starship loses 10 Shield Points this way, choose an installed energy weapon that does not have the Focusing property. Until the start of your next turn, the next attack made with that weapon deals bonus damage equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1).

Computer Station Upgrade

Cost: 750 C

When the officer takes a Scan Target action and scores a 20 or higher on the check, it gains precise information about the target. Until the start of the officer's next turn, whenever the starship creates a randomly located effect inside the target such as fire or breaches, the officer can specify the effect's locations instead.

Computer Station Upgrade

Cost: 1500 C

The officer can take the following stationa ction at a computer station with this upgrade.

Spell Lock. You attempt to create a magical channel between your starship and a target starship that the computer has scanned. Make an Intelligence (Arcana) check contested by a Dexterity check made by the target starship's pilot, who adds their proficiency with void vehicles if able. On a success, your ship and the target are linked for 1 minute. For this duration, spells cast from your starship can successfully target the linked starship. All other spell requirements must still be met.
