Read Aparret and his Bee First:

They hid as the group of companions gathered to lick their wounds. Aparret could see both the mental scars they had overcome and the grief for a real loss for the group. They barely spoke as they caught their breath. They all looked to each other looking for next leader. The dark elf tried to show a strength and leadership that was new to her. Her voice tried to be strong but came out slightly cracked, "hope before despair." As her words sunk in around the group a slight relief came over them. Some even smiled.

The small scrub worked as a nice sight shield. Harriet bounced off his arm a couple of times. Her stinger purposefully not out. "I know, i know... You want me to go talk to them." He stayed still. The movements of the adventures in every part of his thought's. They had taken out the dragon guards in moments, and then foolishly attacked the guardian. Their power was strong, but their intellect was someplace below his own. His bee buzzed him some more.

in a voice that was as sure as a child caught in the mead barrel, "I am coming out." The entire group shifted and pulled weapons before he could finish his statement. "I mean you know harm," came out with a weak force. He stepped out. His hands were empty with his palms up. He was showing no violence next to their fierce force.  "put away your weapons, I mean you no harm." His voice was trying to find a little more confidence. Harriet landed on his shoulder. Her wings folded back and her yellow abdomen puffed with pride. "Sorry about your friend, I tried to warn you, but I was too late."
