While in ancient times this constitutional monarchy, formerly simply part of as area known as the "Northlands", was known for its formidable warriors, pirates and naval force, today it's equally as known for its progressive politics, while still equally holding on to old traditions and having a deep bond with nature. Melora, Mielikki and sometimes even Eldath are popular deities, as is Kord, especially for Naval Mercenaries and those fighting in the Tusindfryd's Naval Force, who still hold quite a few of the ideals of the warriors of old to heart. Due to similar ideas of how nature should be protected, and when possible built around, Tusindfryd houses many of Illiadian descent and welcomes them, and has been ever since they've been still called the Northlands. Ree-Mai are one of the more common Illiadian races you find here, and quite a few Ree-Mai shamans and druids engage in their religious studies here.
