Idorik

Grand Count of Sight, The Eye of Beauty, The Sightseer

One of the more minor holy Grand Counts of the Illiadian pantheon, Idorik represents Eyesight, Aesthetics, beauty and artistry. Often considered the twin-brother of Sonitu, Idorik is often represented as either a sightseer, as an artist, or as both. As the legends say, he frequently visits the mortal world in the form of an Arrash or an Illiadian Human to visit new places that he has never seen before, to see the art of fellow artists, and to find new inspiration.

It is generally said that artists who pray to Idorik are gifted with inspiration, and that praying to Idorik alleviates art-block (though the latter is definitely disputed). Thus, he's a favorite among painters, sculptors and even potters, weavers and other people in creative positions. However, he's also sometimes seen as a patron of travelers, helping those along the way who want to see more of the world.

Idorik serves directly under Rencal Kei-Rhai and The Golden Scribe. His realm within The Marble Cathedral is "The Fields of Beauty", which is a beautiful world littered with the most amazing sights, filled with villages where everything is painted expertly, and where statues and sculptures to admire can be found in nearly every corner.

Basic tenets of Idorik:

- See all that you can, and always appreciate beauty in even the littlest of things.
- If you must, travel to the ends of the world to find inspiration. But no matter what, be sure that you find inspiration someday.
- Create beautiful artworks and inspire those around you.
