Traditionally, an "Arrash", or "Remade Ones", as their name means in Common, are either Mikaru that lost a part of their abilities, the children of Mikaru or other Arrash with a Human, or those who were born by two Arrash parents. This is also one of the reasons why some less-educated people sometimes call them "Illiadian Half-Elves". Arrash typically hold on to the Illiadian culture that still remains in Sancstoryl and worship Illiadian deities, while also hoping that one day they'll be able to find a way to return to Illiad. However, the Arrash of Sancstoryl also consider Sancstoryl their second home, and thus are, like Half-Elves, children of two worlds, who often act as mediators and diplomats. Arrash usually have patches of colorful, Mikaruian scales over their body, most prominently on their hands, feet and ears, due to their Mikaruian blood. They also either have vestigial, flightless wings, or a tail; but usually not both. Nowadays, they're one of the most common types of Illiadian left on Sancstoryl, especially since the Mikaru have become relatively rare.

Born from a mothers' prayer

Arrash first came into existence when a grieving mother, now known as the holy Saint Anisia, who was losing her beloved child to a sickness similar to Ha'zas Syndrome and The Wasting Disease, prayed to the gods. As a devout follower of Rencal, she would pray for days on end, until her prayers were heard. At first, she watched in horror, as many of her child's scales would fall of their skin, and their tail atrophied... but then, she saw them open their eyes for the first time in a long time, and smile at their mother. The result were the Arrash, whose souls produced less Ena, but were better equipped to survive such afflictions. From then on, any Mikaru who would rapidly lose much of their power would instead much more likely turn into an Arrash than outright die.

Arrash culture back on Illiad was very similar to Mikaru culture, simply due to many Arrash having been Mikaru before. However, the Arrash of the island nation of Aisepa had a pretty unique culture that focused on festivals and celebrations, with many government-mandated holidays, many of which have been adapted on Sancstoryl. Arrash on Sancstoryl that grew up in families that had ties to this republic would often grow up to be great bards.
