A Sancstorylian goddess of loss, void, the night, secrets, forgetting and oblivion. Shar is more or less the evil sister of Selûne, and she arrived on Sancstoryl from another world together with her sister at pretty much the same time. Shar is a petty goddess who is amused by mortal suffering, even the suffering of her own followers. Some say she strives towards the eradication of life in her original wildspace system, but as she is more detached from Sanctospace and Sancstoryl, these goals don't get pursued by her or her followers on this world. Nonetheless, she still tends to lure in those that are pained by loss and wish to forget their suffering, but the memory loss that Shar provides never brings closure or growth; only repression. Many of her followers are thus nihilistic and severely broken, but also fanatically loyal due to her manipulations. Shar worship is outlawed in nearly all civilizations, but that hasn't stopped her cult from thriving where it feels best: in the darkness.
