Söpökin

Deep in the valleys of the northlandic lands of old, a certain, extremely rare type of trollkin can be found; the Söpökin. Looking nothing like the usual, fearsome troll, and behaving even less so, Söpökin are known to live calm, cozy lives with their families and friends. But, occasionally, certain adventurous individuals will pop up amongst them, wishing to see the whole wide world with their own eyes; or simply those that wish to see more people across the world smile. And when this happens, they will notice that their trollish regenerative abilities come in quite handy.

Broad, Soft and Fluffy

Söpökin are most certainly related to trolls in some way, there is no doubt about this. However, unlike trolls, who are more often than not violent, dangerous and ugly, the Söpökin are a friendly people, with soft fur, pudgy bodies and very even-tempered and calm personalities. Some say this is due to either celestial or fey influences, but nobody is quite sure. Their appearance is almost bovine, and despite their soft personalities and bodies, they are quite physically strong, and also quite broad; making it hard to squeeze past them, even when they're not particularly tall. Despite this, Söpökin are anything but violent, preferring a peaceful approach to interactions with others, or even life in general. Many Söpökin live in relatively isolated villages, or small mountain farming communities with a few others, but they've shown to get along quite well with Halflings due to a very similar outlook in life. Access to good, rustic food, clean air, great scenery and the possibility of enjoying life on a calm day are often a Söpökin's most favored treasures.
