The session starts as Mikhail meets up with the rest of the party at the Serenity and Soul spa with a huge smile on his face, as he just had a private talk with Nax Skyscale. After being recommended the steam bath, because two of his companions already chose this option, he finds Volk Lesnoy and Dareth Lion'el, who are having a strongly worded argument over if hot dogs are tacos or sandwiches, while the Spa's owner, a Bathhouse Drake called Balbera Soaptail, filled the sauna with steam. One interrupted argument and steam bath later, Dareth, Volk and Mihail met up with Philomena Snapdragon, Zora and Sooty who currently were relaxing after their baths finished up. That's when Mikhail sprung the news: He was able to figure that he must have a sorcerous bloodline, thanks to professor Skyscale! However, they weren't able to figure out what kind of sorcerer Mikhail is. Only that his magical aura radiates whimsy.
After a few more treatments and massages, the party went to the Inn that Professor Skyscale was able to procure for them; The Bard's Rest, which was visited by several rich people and also quite the fancy place, run by a moon elf woman. The party proceeded to then have dinner, a 12-course meal with several small dishes, and proceeded to rest in their very comfortable beds.
Over the next few days, the party proceeded to do some shopping. While they weren't able to find any interesting enough items within their price range at the local blacksmith's shop which was run by a human woman and her Kobold apprentice, they were, or at least Philomena was, able to find a nice, albeit expensive mundane Revolver at the local firearm shop, which was run by an Owlin. At the magic item store, which was run by a bronze Dragonborn, they once again found many unique items, but not many that piqued their interest. Nonetheless, Philomena was able to buy a +1 Scholar's Cap, Dareth a Brawler's Ring, and Volk (unwillingly) had a Cocoa Collar, which was able to help with lycanthropic urges, thrust upon him.
A few days later, Nax Skyscale picked up the party for the opening ceremony for the Svantmiirik Founding Festival. There, a bronze dragonborn man waited on top of a large stone platform, in front of a podium. Nax, telling the party to wait until they're called, went up there, and whispered to the man, who turned out to be the city's mayor, Sholthak Qelseth. As the city's dragon was apparently running late, he'd start the opening ceremony himself... only to be interrupted by a deep voice calling out “Thank you, Mr. Qelseth, I appreciate it, but I’ll take it over from here on.”
Flying in comes an ancient blue dragon, decorated with jewelry and the symbols of the city and its most popular temples; Cumulonimbus Cobaltshine, the Cobalt Dragon of Svantmiirik, as he addresses the crowd, both citizens and visitors, in a speech about how long the city has stood as a symbol of unity between the people of the forests, both kobold and other peoples, and for how as long as he'd live, Svantmiirik shall stand. This was met by a ruckus applause by the crowd, though some visitors to the city couldn't help but make remarks about how "the special effect look so fake", and the likes.
Unerringly, though with a bit of an eye-roll, the dragon then called the Agate Seekers to the podium, and with Nax's help, presented them with gifts for their retrieval of the Cobalt Dragon's Violins. In fact, Mikhail was given one, alongside some long lost spells, as thanks. Sooty was given a wand and some spells, Philomena a magical crossbow that works as a grappling hook, Volk a magical kilt trimmed with wolf fur, Dareth a magical handaxe, and Zora some blessed knuckle knives.
Cumulonimbus then finished up the rest of the speech, officially starting the festivities, inviting everyone to the customary string orchestra in the evening, and teleported away in a crack of lightning. As the crowd dispersed into the festival, the mayor and Nax proceeded to have a conversation, with the mayor wondering why he even joins these ceremonies if Cumulonimbus does everything. Nax proceeded to reassure him that, as elected representative of the people, he's still very important, and was even helped by Dareth with that.
The party then went on to explore the city's festival. First of all, Zora wanted to look for a Test of Strength, and was able to find one with Mikhail's help. After Philomena tried to hit first, and only got a consolidation price in the form of a piece of strawberry candy, Mikhail couldn't help but notice the game was rigged. After telling Dareth, who sternly told the stands' owner to cut it out, Dareth would then proceed to win the jackpot (after Volk only got a consolidation price again).
And after that, the party is free to explore the festival grounds some more.
