For many people, Atana is the city that they'll be thinking of when they think of Grehel. With the religions of Erathis and Ioun being popular here, besides the native faith of the Olympian Pantheon such as Zeus, Demeter and especially Athena, the city's patron goddess, you can expect Atana to be a center for learning and philosophical thought. This has been true since ancient times, even since before The Great Wasting, and persisted into the modern day, even after the area was under Osé control for a couple hundred years. Atana is considered the birthplace of democratic thought, and its leadership is still a democratically elected council to this day.
