The party continues their fight against the search party of The Bloodletters. Spells were flung, counterspells were flicked, a bright flash blinded some people, and at one point, Ylos Asol was, for a short time, taken as a hostage, before he was able to slip away using his Light-Swim ability as a Light-Walker, all the while Samuel O'Lenaghan helped out. Heals were had, the leader of the search party burst into flames and continued his assault while burning, and Volk did his best to play keep away. In the end though, after a long and grueling fight, the leader was brought down, as he exploded into hellfire. Eventually, the entire search party was defeated, with three survivors kept alive for interrogation.
Dareth Lion'el Griffmane, meanwhile, found a concerning letter on the leader's burnt-out body... detailing how Caim Steelhand sent them to kill or kidnap Clayton Griffmane and take Skytalon from him, as he had now gotten hope through Dareth's sending-spell.
