Eldest Son and Heir of House Griffmane of Skyhold. Took up the sword at an early age and very much went in his father's footsteps. Went missing during the Sack of Skyhold Keep. A Scrying by one Wagner Shatterhorn revealed that he's still very much alive, but spends his days drinking and wasting away in pubs and taverns. He is, however, in possession of the Griffmane's ancestral blade, Skytalon.
After his half-brother Dareth Lion'el Griffmane used a Sending scroll to contact him, he made his way to his sister Clara Griffmane in Dulenn. However, in the reunion, it turned out that Clayton fled from duty and Skytalon, the ancestral blade of the Griffmane Family, rejected him in turn. Dareth then took on the role of leader from his disgraced brother, also taking on Skytalon in the process.
