We return to the Agate Seekers right after their scuffle with the Tembril. Everyone gets their bearings, deciding to move a bit further before making camp. Nothing in particular happens at night, and travel continues the next day. While snowfall is thick, there is not much wind, and the party makes it relatively unimpeded to the mining town of Montscherga, where they seek out the tavern and inn "The Hungry Donkey". After a few hearty bowls of Solyanka and a few sips of vodka, Dareth and Mikhail couldn't help but overhear two men talk about attacks by a Frost Giant and an entourage of Grolar Bears, looting travelers to the north.
The next day, the party continued on their way to Mumanask, only to come across said Frost Giant. The fight was quite intense, but with everyone's fighting abilities, as well as Volk Lesnoy's endourance and Dareth's unerring blade, the battle was won. Volk then proceeded to to take the furs of those bears, as well as the magical axe of that Giant and his belt, as proof.
The next day, the party continued, with Volk noticing that by now, Raleni Vardek has arrived in Mumanask and hasn't further traveled anywhere. However, their travel was stopped by an elvish-looking man with ice hair, as well as an entourage of large dogs, as well as a human-looking man with a top hat and a ratty looking coat; Philomena Snapdragon recognized these two as fey; a Frostjack and a Shadow Lurker. They hailed the party and, under Philomena's recommendation, approached them cautiously.
The Frostjack then asked them if they had seen a woman that sounded suspiciously of Raleni Vardek; only to say that they were asked to retrieve her for their client. Volk avoided the question, saying that he hadn't seen her, but the Frostjack then mentioned that an item they had, lost her energy signature... but they were able to find a very similar one in Volk, and now they decided to capture him instead for their payment, as a replacement.
A fight was had, which was handedly won, and besides some interesting items, a letter, sent by Nuferos was found... The archfey that gave Selene McCoy her warlock pact... asking the Frostjack and Shadow Lurker to retrieve Raleni for his collection, but also off-handedly mentioning how he keeps Selene's soul imprisoned... At this point, a card falls down in front of Sooty's feet...
