Once the youngest of three brothers, Duke Beom Hye is the only surviving son of the House of the Tiger and of the former Duke Unknown and Lady Hwan. During the event historically known as the Massacre of the Tigers, Hye was taken away from the rest of his family by a Tyrsenian cleric named Anahita with the intention of eventually taking the boy to Teresh to be placed with a new family and raised as a Tyrsenian child. Instead, nearly a month after he was taken from his family, the Godseekers intervened along with the Spirit Guardian of the West, Unknown, to rescue him. From there, he was raised by Yun-Seo directly as well as those of his father's advisors who had survived the war.
Having taking up the mantle of Duke at the age of 5, the now 9 year old Hye is being advised well and doing his best to live up to the immense legacy of his House despite the fact that this is a mantle that was never meant for his small shoulders. He has taken the task of rebuilding very seriously and has done his best to foster friendships across the border into Salkhiny Tal.
