Dear Lucina,
It is currently 2.46.801.13. Me and my band of misfits have just finished participating in the Festival of the Satiated Hippogriff. It should come of no shock but I am not one for formal events; I am far more comfortable in courtrooms. When we entered the festival it appears fey magic is far more imaginative than I believed. We were all immediately changed to our desired dresses for the party, but I don’t think that’s true considering Calia. I still do not understand how Kiri convinced her to wear that dress the first time nor why she willingly wore it a second time.
On the same topic, Calia cleaned up shockingly well for a Crusader loving brute that almost got herself killed. Had her dress not been so cumbersome perhaps I would have… Best not to entertain that thought so long as I wish to remain alive. Turns out that Lucian was going to be spending this festival in the so called “Tent of Titillation” with Queen Titania and he wanted out of it. Uncertain why he was trying so hard to escape performing such a task; perhaps it was the dance of confessions that he disliked so much? Me and Calia, at the least I did, enjoyed watching him stumble around trying to get out.
Despite Kiri’s best efforts Titania was undeterred and Lucian asked for our help with confessions. Most of them came from the ex-Crusader much to no one’s surprise. After sharing our confessions to him we noticed that the court had gathered around; for some reason that counted and they started crying over window drapes? Whatever. I’m not sure if I should be glad or worried that my confession brought no suspicious eyes onto myself. Perhaps it is due to my Tiefling species or I do not look as just as I think?
With Lucian’s “dance” complete it seems that he was so unfortunately burdened with having to spend the night with Titania. He made some strange deal that gave us some Satyr guards for the spring and summer to protect the keep too? Even stranger was that we were recruited to play some sport to determine if the courts would remain in power. Throw the ball into a hoop in the air to score, we cannot die, there are no other rules. Abysmal sport rulings aside, we achieved victory through the only way known to us. I almost fell in the battle multiple times and was held up by the others around me. (Remember that you can rely on those you trust to prop you up.) We struck down all of the enemy team and won by default with only a single goal!
We all retired to our own tents after. The sounds of Gary Bones partying can still be heard even as I write. I spent time relaxing and considered visiting another tent before deciding against it. Should you get the chance for one of these events I do recommend it! You will probably be far better at them than I, though maybe we can test that? Maybe Lucian won’t stop me from getting to enjoy a dance then.
Judging as always, Leanne.
