The Sobu'un (also known as the Greyscales), unlike their distant cousins in the deep swamps, live on the riverbanks of the great deserts of Monteia. Their culture is based around one of servitude to the god-kings who rule over the land, usually pulled from human stock.
The local pantheon is vast and complex, but the only god that matters to the Sobu'un is their patron god, Sobek. He commands his children to serve as protectors and warriors guarding over the many other people of the lands.
They often serve as bodyguards to the pharaohs, generals in his army, or silent assassins in service to the priests. Occasionally, a Sobu'un will take up the call of magic or priesthood, but this is rare. Most focus on the martial arts, honing their skills to perfection.
Alignment. Unlike their distant free-wheeling cousins, the Sobu'un are fierecly dedicated to the rules and structures of their society. Almost all are Lawful Neutral, with few venturing outside their definition.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Sobek's Chosen. When you roll a 1 on a damage dice, you may re-roll the entire damage dice pool. You must take the new result. You may not use this ability again until after a long rest.
