King Hrólf is the dread lord of the demiplane of Helheim. A frigid land where fire cannot be made and considered a terrible end for those that died cowardly deaths or lived dishonorable lives. Hrólf rules over these lands with his twelve lieutenants seeking to expand their domains through patronage allowing those to pledge their afterlives to Hrólf in return for his power.
Skofnung, the Ever Sharp.
Of all of king Hrólf's weapons, nothing is his more prized possession of all than Skofnung. A powerful great sword of impeccable sharpness and houses the souls of his twelve most faithful lieutenants that served him in life. Once separated from him he was reunited with the blade when he battled a now unknown god of war. It is truthfully unknown who won this battle but Hrólf still wields Skofnung to this day. Allowing his hexblade warlocks to use longswords fashioned similarly to the massive blade he covets.
