Orias (Or-ee-ass) – to the north is a land of mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes sits between Albion and Ostland. Home to the Barons of Norgard it is a land of mixed peoples. Weylanders and Ostlanders dwell here side by side. Ostlanders invaded Orias some 80 years ago and held it for 10 years, Ostlander colonists migrated to the warmer clime and fertile land. However the Baron of Norgard managed to recapture his ancestral land. He gave the Ostlanders a choice, return to their homeland or swear fealty to the Barons of Norgard. Many chose to stay and have lived alongside their Weyland neighbours in relative peace since. Until recently Orias has been plagued by slave traders, snatching victims. The ruler of Orias although holds the power and rights of a king is known as the Baron of Norgard; he is married to the sister of Jarl Jensen of Ostagard. The Triumverate hold sway in in Orias worshiped by both Oriasians and Ostlanders.
Orias is famed for its wool, whilst not a particularly fertile land the grass and lichens that do grow are especially suitable to the Oriasian Sheep. Cold and harsh in the winter Orias produces a hardy folk and the blurring of the Weyland and Ostlander blood lines give typical Oriasians a distinctive look compared to the usual Weylander.
