Siax Moonglide
3rd son of Farewarn Moonglide
7th Generation ranger
Member of "The Guided Path" Guild
----==|==----
Siax has trained his whole life to live upto his family name and reputation.
The Guided Path guild had grown in reputation over the years. Well known for guiding travellers, merchants, mercenaries and other folks through tortuous and dangerous paths, or hunting and clearing the most dangerous of prey.
The work that was asked or required of the guild, was the type of work that others would turn down calling it suicidal. One reason for this was the difficult terrain that was presented with these types of jobs. Impassable mountains, dense forestry, deep swamps, rubble-filled ruins and ice-covered ground.
It takes a certain type of ranger to overcome these difficult objectives and live to tell the tale. Certain personalities and skill types are required for this line of work.
Siax is the third and youngest Elven son to the current generation of the Moonglide family. His great, great, great, great grandfather was a founding member of the guild, and his dad Farewarn Moonglide would not let him forget it.
Siax trained with his older brothers Gaela and Vulas. He learned how to use the longbow. He learned how to defend himself in close-quarter combat. He learned how to track wild beasts and humanoids. He learned how to stay hidden out of sight. These skills took time and dedication.
However, skills alone do not reach or surpass the standards of The Guided Path guild. You must earn your place to be a member of the guild. With no field experience or tales to his name, Siax has been given the task to prove himself worth of his family name. He must prove himself worthy to be a member of the guild. Prove that he is ready and when the time calls for it, he will be able to push the guild forward and continue the reputable work of "The Guided Path" for future generations.
Siax longs to make his father proud. He begins to read the letter his father gave him earlier. As he finishes reading the letter he puts the letter in his bag. He adjusts his longbow and quiver over his shoulder. He then takes one final look at the dense forest his family and guild call home.
"Do not worry father....I will make you proud."
