What’s one place your character has visited that they never want to return to and why?

Pine

"Where is it you'd never like to visit again, Pine?"

He glanced up and over, not having been paying attention to the back and forth conversation, his mind on other things.  In many ways he disliked these sorts of prodding questions, little details of his life picked over and perused, usually showing up his differences rather than the similarities they were looking for.  Still, he gave the question some thought before answering, his mind going back over their journey together.  It would be easy enough to draw on several instances, the dragon barrow being the most obvious, that the group could agree was best to be avoided in future.

But that wasn't the truest of answers.

"Any large town or city," he said, claws absently toying with a small tassel on the side of his backpack.  "They are more dangerous than the wilds."

Many, he knew, would not share his opinion, but he'd been brought up in a nomadic clan, almost all tabaxi were, and unless you knew the dangers of a city and how to navigate them, they were as dangerous to a traveller than the wilds would be for a city dweller.  He'd ended up knocked out and stripped of his belongings two times before when travelling in one, and only his own healing powers had stopped him from losing his life on one of those.  No, he did not like the city.

Arya

Arya would think for a while and say: "Places often change so going back could be interesting to see what has changed. I couldn't say a specific place I wouldn't go back to but if it was a place I knew hasn't changed and there is only people going about their day doing ordinary things, talking about the same things never changing the people living there, I wouldn't see the point in going back there." Arya would completely miss what the question was actually about, being uncomfortable or afraid isn't a concept she understands.

Tiaumil

The Shadowfell, because it is the Shadowfell.
