While Siax was busy preparing the things he got from the spiders and they all were settling in for a nights rest Arya would sit next to Tiaumil: "I have seen you using something similar, would you take a look at this?" Holding up Ularans spellbook. "I should warn you though the owner of this has probably taken precautions from people reading it."
Tiaumil (Darren M) — 12:20
Tiaumil would just have set his own task with Siax aside when she made her way over to sit with him. It was actually not entirely common that the group did that, him being still new to them and unfamiliar, but out of them all he supposed that he had spent the most time conversing with her.
However it was not her sitting that caught his attention the most, but what she drew out of her bag.
His breath caught, his heart speeding up in a familiar way at seeing a new book, a new tome, but more than that, he could feel the residue of the owner almost, the flavour. And oh, if this was the spell tome of who he thought it was, then he was being handed a treasure indeed!
"I shall endeavour to use all available caution, you have my word," he said, barely able to stop from snatching the book from her hand. It would be rude, and she was bringing him something of untold worth, to him at least. Probably to many others too.
As he reached for it, he was aware of how his hands had a slight tremble to them, one that someone as perceptive as Arya would likely be able to see clearly enough. It was a spellbook, but for him, it was more than just that. His fingers itched to open it, his eyes to divine the contents, but he forced calm upon himself. He did not live as long as he had merely to be taken out by Death's discarded follower.
"You have my gratitude for access to such a tome. I had not thought to find it without delving deep into that cursed land."
His words were steady and calm, but his heart was beating too readily, his pupils dilated, and his fingers trembled with the need to open the tome. But as he'd said to Arya, he would have to ensure it was safe to do so first.
(if she handled it with her hands, he'd have just taken it without doing anything different. if she handed it to him wrapped in something, then he'd have taken it with that precation etc)

Arya never touched it directly, she used a cloth around it. She would notice Tiaumil's reaction and a slight hesitation when handing it over. "Find it? You know what this is and was looking for it?"
Tiaumil (Darren M) — 12:31
He would hold the book in its wrapped cloth, before taking another from his bag so that he might re-wrap it and return the item to her.
"I seek all spells, not merely this tome," he would respond, not having noticed the hesitation, far too focused on the item in his hand. "I have travelled the lands for centuries seeking out new spells to transcribe, and there are few now that I have not come across at one time or another. But you were in Ularan's tower and defeated him, and now you have a book that has the touch of death and necromancy about it. There are few in this world that could craft new spells, new ways of utilising the weave and the energies, but Ularan would be one of them. This tome," he had to pause, to swallow around what was likely some sort of emotion, "this tome may have a new spell, or several, ones that have never been seen before."

(I keep forgetting about doing this... so now I'll just quickly high-jack your RP so I get it done xD)
Seeing the interaction between Arya and Tiaumil regarding Ularan's spellbook, Effie remembers she too had been carrying around a spellbook that they had found earlier. "Maybe not as interesting as what you got there," she says approaching them with a smile while hinting towards the death tome - "I have no use for this, but you might want to have a look at it too? We found it in a creepy old tower." she continues and holds out Thalivar's spellbook towards Tiaumil.

Arya would smile: "Look at all the gifts coming your way. Don't forget to tell us if you find anything interesting in them." She would look at Tiaumil and what she actually meant wouldn't be hard to understand.
(We are trusting you with this, betray us and you will regret it) But it's all with a big smile.

(lol I was going to have Tiaumil check with her in group loot soon, but now is a good time too! Its his birthday it seems! lol)
Tiaumil would look up to Effie as she approached, and it might be noticeable that his fingers tightened around the cloth-wrapped tome in his grip as she did so, drawing it slightly in towards himself as if perhaps he feared it being taken from him in some way. Mostly it was subtle, but both people with him right then were perceptive of behaviours.
And yet her words made him pause, and oh... oh you could see the way he fixated on the book in her hand too. Neither would have seen him like this before, with him always being almost disconnected from what was going on around him in many ways, but right then, with not one but two books, with the reaction being the same, it might be enough to correlate it with the look of an addict, rather than the calm and measured elf he usually was.
"It is a day of delightful surprises then!" he said, and he was delighted, he was avid, and trying quite hard to hide the fact. But in this he likely failed, for his attention was keen and he would take the book from her without pause, and oh, it would be difficult, perhaps impossible for him to get any sleep now. Not with just one, but TWO tomes to seek through.
Both in his grasp, he would look to Arya at her tone of voice, and blink. It was quite clear that his usually astute mind was faltering in the wake of what he'd been given. To him, the potential in his hands, the hope of something new to transcribe, it made focusing on anything else difficult in those moments; a weakness.
"Ah, of course? I will likely be unable to use many of the spells within, it is not my calling, but perhaps there might be something of use."
He did not seem to pick up the threat in those moments, but neither did he seem on the verge of some malicious or catastrophic actions with the books.
He perked up a moment later, as some thought came to him.
"Once I have properly looked through and transcribed any spells I have not already come across, I will be able to create spell scrolls with the contents, if there are the resources for it. Perhaps that will be of use."

Arya would nod and continue keep an eye on Tiaumil for the time being, alert to any changes in his appearance when he start look into the content.

(I'll have to wait for @DM (Charalampos "Babis") to decide how he wants to tackle this, mechanically. We have only a limited time before we are meant to be heading off, and while he only needs 4 hours sleep, even with his particular skills in the area to speed it up, it will still take him time to copy high level spells. He will only want to copy those he hasn't seen before though.)
