Return To Raam

The party have learned that one of them was once from Raam and now they are heading there to buy slaves in order to free them, potentially create some kind of slave revolt, find out the truth about their past and follow a lead that Nawab Maarham of The Veiled Alliance might know where the legendary preserver Sitar to get a gift for the second ritual outlined in the Occultus Metamorphosis Avangion

They will be searched by the guards when the wagon arrives.

Nawab Maarham discovered the player who was once Strom before they had their memory wiped by a slaver and before the dark mark accidentally found them - a blank slate to latch onto, was cheating on him on the picks-ups from a gambling operation and separately sold him and his wife and child into slavery.

Nawab Maarham lives in Maarham House in the Lower Quarter which he largely controls, running gambling operations, brothels, taverns and other operations.

They will have to navigate Raam's caste system in order to speak to Nawab Maarham.

They will notice people watching them but it is Maarham who is really under surveillance by the Kuotagha - the secret police of Raam.

Maarham knows only that Sitar was on the trail of her arch nemesis - a defiler of some power called Rowo. He only knows that the defiler was heading to the Kreegill Mountains searching for a mythical city called Pahada Sskati said to be hidden with-in the range. He suspects that Sitar knew this and followed him into the mountains.

A day after they leave the city they will be attacked in the desert by Dead Snakes assassins they become visible only as they attack but the party will be aided by a stranger - Ginal. He will come out of nowhere. It is a set up - he will kill several assassins so they trust him but secretly he is also part of their order.  He will claim that he has been following the Dead Snakes and is their sworn enemy. He will tell them that his sister was a cleric dedicated to water - she was guardian of a well and the snakes murdered her to take control of the well. He will say that if they want help he knows the area a bit and if they are enemies of the dead snakes they are friends of his.

If they follow into the mountain their Lantern of Revealing will let them see through the magic barrier that surrounds Pahada Sskati

The Yuan-ti will tell them that the defiler stole a powerful artifact - a magic item that warns them of extreme danger - and then disappeared heading north. He has stolen Bracelet of Dire Warning. An artifact belonging to the Yuan-ti.
