The party have heard a rumour of a village of free slaves to the west of Raam. They head out into the desert in search of it. Use Random Desert Days table.
Before they get to the village they will see a raiding party attack a caravan of House of Shom. They can see Shom's banner. It's a small caravan they are attacking 6 wagons (4) Scouts (5) Crodlu Outriders (10) Infantry Guards (2) Kanks (1) Inix (10) Archers.
They slaughter all the animals first knowing this strands the rest in the desert.
They are attacking with a force of 10 archers and 30 warriors.
If left to it they will kill all the travellers and free the five slaves that travel with the caravan.
The Free do not trust magic - used by the templars to oppress them and they will attack anyone that uses it even if they attack their enemies.
If they end up at Hidden Village, they will find Bartras a well organised and good leader. The Free want nothing from them but are also risk averse regarding any plans or greater ambitions for liberating slaves across Athas.
