Main Quest 27

Having killed the Nightmare Beast the party will perform the ritual from the Occultus Metamorphosis Avangion and enter the portal into the plane of light.

As the intrepid adventurers step through the shimmering portal, they find themselves in the Plane of Radiance, a realm of pure brilliance and vibrant energy. Blinding rays of light bathe the surroundings, reflecting off prismatic crystals and casting colorful hues across the landscape. The air crackles with raw arcane power, imbued with an otherworldly radiance that invigorates the party's spirits. They tread upon glistening pathways, guided by the pulsating rhythm of celestial music that echoes through the luminous skies.

There they will encounter its guardians - Light Elemental. These creatures will float past them on the illuminated paths as if they do not notice the party. They tower above them.

They will have to do something spectacular to get their attention - a magical act etc. If they do the spirits will inform them that they must get the boat to the island of radiance across the sea of light and there is the Light Caller. The Dark Captain has a boat.

If they fail to get their attention - they will come to a pier that leads onto the sea of light. By the pier is a boat and the Dark Captain . If they wish to board his boat he will ask them a riddle:

When you need me you hurl me away and when you're done with me you take me back. What am I? Answer: An anchor 

If they answer correctly he will reluctantly ferry them to the island of radiance. On the way he will reveal that the Light Caller is the ancient avangion Oronis and that he once betrayed him and this is his punishment.

As they travel across the sea of radiance they see a Serpents of Light emerging from the sea. The Dark Captain speeds the vessel on - going at full speed trying to out run it. It's vast size is intimidating - con check or fear.  

As the boat speeds on pursued by the giant serpent, they see a small rock - a peak of light coming out of the sea. A ruined boat has smashed against the rock and on top of it stands a castaway waving. He has an amulet identical to Sitar's he must have survived by taking it off, healing, then putting it back on.  

The Dark Captain says there is no time to stop and if they do they will be destroyed by the serpents of light. This is a test - set up by the serpents who guard the island to make sure only the compassionate will make it to its shores. If they pick up the passenger the serpents commend them psionically if they don't the Serpents of Light attack telling them why.

If they make it to Island of Radiance they will be met by Oronis. He will lead them to an altar of light on a mountain made of light that overlooks the whole island. There he will take out each of the candidates hearts and place it them on the altar of light. This will cause their sins to burn away. Get the players to narrate their sins as they burn away. When the flames subside the heart will be left with a glowing mark - a circle within a circle. Oronis will then pick up the hearts and place them back in the chest of the candidate. The moment he does so they vanish from the Plane of Light and reappear before the altar of obsidian and the star shaped bones of the Nightmare Beast
