Enforcers is the catch-all term for the policing force encountered on Imperial worlds. These Enforcers usually answer directly to the Planetary Governor, whose primary concerns are ensuring their own position and fulfilling the tithes demanded of them by the Adeptus Administratum. For the most part this amounts to maintaining law and order, but only insofar as it serves the Governor’s purposes to do so. They typically wear heavy armour and sport high quality weaponry, all designed to function as an open threat to would-be lawbreakers and the common citizenry alike. Where Enforcers encounter opposition — be it gangers or their patron’s political rivals — they are brutal in administering ‘justice’. Corruption runs rife among their ranks, and often Enforcers will turn a blind eye to infractions for the right price.
