Used on numerous Askelline worlds, the Aelurus is a sturdy vehicle with reinforced wheels to pull it through a wide variety of off-road terrain. Lightly armed and armoured with modular construction, models with cargo, passenger, and even smuggling variants exist across the sector.

Traits

Open: This vehicle’s crew and passenger compartments are open, exposing those aboard

  • Crew and passengers can be targeted by enemies directly.
  • If a result of Crew/Passengers hit is rolled on the Vehicle Critical Hit Table, the victim does not add the vehicle’s Armour to their own when determining damage.
  • If this vehicle goes Out of Control, passengers and crew must make a Challenging (+0) Reflexes Test or be thrown off.
  • Passengers and Crew may choose to oppose Melee attacks made against this vehicle.

Rugged: This vehicle is built for harsh conditions and is especially resilient. Each time it suffers a Critical Hit, roll twice and use the lower result.

Variants

Although normally designed to carry both the driver and two passengers, the Aelurus’ design allows for alternate configurations, enhancing the vehicle’s flexibility. Common variants include:

  • Removing the Passenger seats to carry up to 20 Encumberance worth of cargo.
  • Adding a third seat, but losing any cargo capacity.
  • Adding a pintle-mounted weapon, such as Twin-Linked Autoguns.
    • Twin-linked Autogun (Pintle mount): Ranged (Solid Projectile), 6 Damage, Long Range. Loud, Rapid Fire 4.
      • Twin-linked: +1 to Rapid Fire (already included), gain an additional +1 SL to Ranged tests to hit from Burst Fire.
