Nowhere on Auresia is more reviled than the land known as Calamity. Originally holding several different titles, Calamity is currently the Southernmost landmass on Auresia, its entire coastline is wrapped in towering cliff faces formed from a meteoric impact sometime in the past. Entry into Calamity is incredibly difficult; however, that may just be a blessing. A wide variety of monsters from the mutated cockatrice-like beasts, the plague-bearing Cull-hounds, and the flesh-decaying stones known as Starshards. While wealth can be found on Calamity, travel to the continent has been expressly forbidden by all Nation-States and those that do travel there must be quarantined and examined first.
