The Flytraps are cunning, cruel, and sociopathic, often seeking to meld into polite society and rot it from the inside out. Their primary goals are the acquisition of power through lawful means, while continually removing roadblocks to their own goals, which are often deeply unlawful or problematic in their own right. A Flytrap's primary concern is maintaining secrecy, and power and gathering more power.
