Precedents of the Broken

All house rules for Deviants.

Precedent of Creation

You may start with whatever Tier you prefer, but you also need to provide an appropriate Conspiracy. You can make a copy of the template on the Web of Pain and give it to your Approver when you make your character.

You can also join an existing Conspiracy. If you do so, you need to add a node and two attribute points to its sheet on the Web of Pain.

Precedent of Conditioning

Due to the fact that many of the scenes on the server are player-driven, Deviants who choose the Complex deviation on Subliminal Conditioning will be informed of their extra stimuli but not what the responses to those stimuli will be. They should tag a Storyteller if they encounter one of these stimuli for the first time in a Player Scene so that the ST can explain the response.

Precedent of Inhumanity

For purposes of things that count you as human (such as Beasts Family Ties), a Deviant who has a certain amount of high-dot Variations and Acclimation no longer counts as just an ordinary human, as their soul and body have undergone too much change to be merely classified as such.

Each variation that is 3 or more dots counts as one point towards this, as does each point of Acclimation. If this threshold gets to 5, the Deviant no longer counts as just human.

Precedent of the Disquieted Soul

Deviants straddle the line between human and inhuman, and so, two different rules are to be followed based on parameters:

Inhuman Deviants react to Disquiet in different ways, reminding them of their lost Humanity, which can cause Scars to flare up as a result. Whenever an Inhuman Deviant suffers the Disquieted Condition, they suffer an instability, the level of which is as follows:

Stage 1 - Minor Instability
Stage 2-3 - Medium Instability
Stage 4 - Major Instability

For human Deviants, they follow the same process as Mages, Changelings, Sin-Eaters and humans and react accordingly.
