A Biosleeve is any host organism cultivated or modified for occupation by another organism or Biosleeve Control Unit. Their central nervous system is almost always curtailed or removed, so as not to interfere with the occupant's control of the body. Some portions are left intact when they serve major functions of survival or sensory input.

Control Mechanisms

Control mechanisms for a Biosleeve are varied. Depending on the needs of the occupant, they may use one or more of the following components:

  • Biosleeve Control Unit (BCU) - A Cybernetic implant that overrides the executive functioning of the central nervous system. Allows the occupant to control
  • Endylosytic Crystal - Same thing in Samsari bodies. Highly fertile material which a Mokshaic entity may use to project its consciousness into Samsara.
  • Direct Neural Interface ("DNI", Dini)
  • Glil pilot chamber - Sort of a cockpit where the brain used to be. Are you talking to a space slug right now?

Glil Biosleeves

The Glil make extensive use of Biosleeves when necessary to live in environments with unviable atmospheric or barometric conditions. This is generally for the purposes of interacting with other races, but more rarely used for infiltration purposes.
