Tiví Cults

In the post-world world, the world is a world very much concerned with the artifacts of the past... world. Some of the most ubiquitous are Tivís, machine boxes that are said to have sight and sound from far away.

Few of the groups have the means to operate a television, though almost all of them have a pristine unit that they worship nonetheless. It is used as a means of divination either way, whether through badly misinterpreting centuries-old cultural artifacts, or badly misinterpreting drug-induced apophenia from staring at a snow channel or dead screen.

Typology

Tiviistic Cults are generally typified based on their level of access to a television and its functions.

Around 90-95% of groups have access to a television, but not the means to power it. They generally simulate its operation through elaborate rituals that exploit tricks of lighting and acoustics.

A small portion, around 3-5%, have access to both a television and the means to power it. Some of them have access to dead broadcast "snow" channels, and a very small minority actually receive a signal through some means.

A small minority do not have access to a television whatsoever, and instead create simulacra thereof.
