Sinsonismo refers to a series of
Cartunic Cults that hold special esteem for a familial pantheon of spirits derived from an animated TV show that ran from the 20th to 22nd
centuries.
Occurrence
Sinsonismo emerged primarily in post-colonial regions of the global South, particularly Spanish-speaking countries due to early translation and mass circulation of the original recordings. As a result, academic literature studying the topic tends to prefer the Espanglésh versions of terms, though many variations exist across the world.
Countries with high industrial capacity before civilizational collapse (particularly in textiles and plastics) generated a vast body of surviving material culture. A large primary market of luxury goods was multiplied by a thriving black market of spinoffs. This provided one more element in the lattice of factors that allowed these traditions to survive for centuries.
Texts
The surviving canon is an oral tradition that recreates the dialogue of the original recordings to a high degree of accuracy. Widespread cultural familiarity allowed it to survive the transition through a holocaust of recorded media and a collapse in general literacy.
Louenepiso is an oral epic commonly memorized as a rite of passage or basic education and acculturation in Sinsonistic societies. Its content corresponds to the first 8 seasons of the original show.
Artifacts
Although merchandise like clothing or backpacks tends to decay in less than a century, so much of it was made that many items survived in storage or at least geological safety. Murals were common where the show was syndicated, and many have survived to the present day, often maintained by their adherents. And endless plastic crap is still refusing to biodegrade, making figurines a valuable but not uncommon commodity.
The further from the original source material a society gets, the more Sinsonismo mutates. It is shockingly common for more isolated societies to adapt the bizarre shape of Marshsinso-derived sculptures into dildos. And to be fair, she does kind of look like a weird dildo. Isn't anthropology fun?
Ritual & Tradition
The major anthropological split among Sinsonistic societies is between those that have the technological means to conduct the Tíbyjuashin ritual. Those with the means to do so are naturally spiritual hubs of their regions, and have the effect of preserving a canonical oral tradition among any society that can regularly conduct Gotuàsh.
Among Sinsonistic societies without access to Juashin, whether through their own means or conducting Gotuàsh, an oral tradition prevails. Even with no direct influence from the original recorded texts, these societies maintain their canon through regular practice of Herin according to the Sinsonistic Calendar, as well as the vernacular practice of Rírong.
