Only the strongest, luckiest and those favored by their gods survived those early catastrophic months in isolated self-sufficient enclaves which served them well when ancient mythical creatures like the frost giants began walking the lands once again. The largest enclave was sheltered in Kususha Pagoda and isolated by the supernatural storm surrounding it but the century of living in such close proximity to the holy place changed their . When the sun returned after The Reckoning the inhabitants of the enclaves returned to a barren continent filled with new dangers. A mysterious holy guru claimed to have received divine inspiration from Natsu-Jo and led thousands of the survivors across the Specific Ocean to New Amet. Now Xi'lan is a wild land as the barbaric tribes of survivors fight mythical creatures and giants for the right to exist while the few remaining enclaves struggle to maintain their isolation.
