Before The Reckoning Tieflings were an extremely rare occurrence resulting from some unholy mingling of humanoid and devil blood or an infernal pact, however as a result of The Reckoning a large army of Devils were stranded on Amet and on other worlds after their connection with Hell was destroyed. Over the following centuries most all of those original Devils have withered and died but their descendants still thrive in the sprawling city which has grown out around Universitas.
