Conviction is the leader and founder of The Circle of Kiral, an order of paladins sworn to defending Twilight World from outside forces. During the battle for Amet he revealed himself as an ancient gold dragon and led the assault to close Areth's portal to Twilight World. In the aftermath he, along with the rest of the circle, dedicated himself to policing the Devils stuck on Amet eventually as the circle more and more became the de facto police force in New Amet he left the policing to the rest of the circle while he retreated from the public eye.
