The nature of, capital P, Power is hotly debated among scholars throughout the Core. Most agree that it is one of the fundamental building blocks of the universe akin to magnetism, matter and gravity. The most common way for people to interact with Power is through the casting of spells, although different types of spellcasters interact with Power in different ways. A wizard for example might use extremely specific phrases, gestures and components in a ritual designed to gather and force ambient power to create a predetermined effect. Most sorcerers however will channel the Power they where born with and their spell's components are more akin to a funnel allowing their inner Power to take take shape into a spell. Another key attribute of Power is that it is transferrable between different beings, the most easy to digest example is that of a devotee worshipping a god, thereby transferring a portion of their internal Power to the god who might choose to imbue a cleric with their power allowing them to cast their spells. This exchanging of Power between individuals however is the smallest example of transference, only relatively recently scholars have discovered Power transference happens at truly vast scales constantly between all beings and objects with an affinity to each other creating the voidonomically scaled flows of Power commonly known as Leylines which are harnessed by Spelljammerss to traverse the Void.
