Icemeet is a relatively young dwarven settlement compared to the other ancient holds of the Bador mountainss. Its location on a raised cliff beside a lake makes it strategically significant, and the dwarves recognized the potential for mining and industry in the surrounding mountains.
The city is built halfway into the mountain within a great cave, with a bridge spanning from the outside wall to the king's hall on the inner wall of the cave. The houses and industry buildings are situated on the cave floor, while the mountain wall is ringed by a wooden palisade that has been gradually reinforced by stone.
Icemeet has a vibrant and dynamic culture, influenced by its proximity to the goliath settlement of Warmguard to the north. Many of its inhabitants are timberworkers and hunters, and the worship of the god Clangeddin is particularly strong among the dwarves of Icemeet.
Despite its relative youth, Icemeet has faced its share of challenges. The city has been subject to raids by nearby orc tribes, and tensions with neighboring kingdoms have led to periods of conflict. Nevertheless, the dwarves of Icemeet remain steadfast and determined, proud of their history and culture, and determined to secure their future in the rugged and unforgiving landscape of the Bador Mountains.
