The Triarchy of Terram was a historical era spanning many centuries on the continent of Terram. It began in 1520AT when the continent was unified under three rulers, known as Triarchs, representing each representing sertain aspects. This system maintained balance and stability across Terram's three regions: Northland, Midland, and Crownland.
The Ruby Throne, a artifact symbolizing authority, was central to this balance, passed between Triarchs when the King aspect changed. For a long time, the Triarchy brought unity. However, in 1705AT, the Lone Triarch emerged, possessing all three aspects and taking sole control, leading to corruption.
Over generations, this rule led to imbalance, and the Ruby Throne's magical power became a problem. In 2020AT, the final Lone Triarch, known as the Terror Triarch, split the continent using the Throne's power, creating The Great Rift. The Riftlands and The Crownlands were formed, ending in the defeat of the Terror Triarch by a rebelion led by a person known as Varang.
This marked the end of the Triarchy and the rise of independent nations, highlighting both unity and division in Terram's history.
