Physical Description
Dwarves are shorter but stockier than humans. They are around 80% of a human's height, but tend to be about the same weight. They have thick, broad body types, and their muscle mass tends to be very dense. As such, Dwarves are much denser than humans overall, which makes them terrible swimmers! Dwarves are very hairy folk. Their hair tends to be thick and wiry. Their hair can be just about any color a human's can be. Some are even born with gray hair.
Sexual Dimorphism
Females are slightly smaller and more compact, but there is not significant difference in muscle mass and ability to build muscle. All dwarven males grow hair profusely on their faces, so thick that it becomes impractical to shave. Some females also grow beards, some cannot, and some shave.
Origin and History
The Dwarves were created by a subset of the Children of Chaos called the Buried Ones. The Buried Ones were only vaguely aware of the other Children of Chaos, but were able to sense the flow of souls from life, to death, to rebirth, so they shaped stone into flesh and created the Dwarves. The dwarves knew magical light down in the Tenebra before they ever knew the light of the sun. There, they erected their great home city of Gavan
Where they live
Today, the dwarves have a few more settlements on the surface, and are pursuing trade with folks all over the world.

Dwarves age the same as humans.

Reproduction
Only 20% of dwarves are born female. The females tend toward monogamy and are fertile in a frequent cycle, similar to humans.
