Faelin

Physical Description
Faelin are agile and nimble beings, renowned for their grace and natural athleticism. They have keen senses and are highly attuned to the environment around them. They have an almost unnerving beauty, with long, pointed ears.

Sexual Dimorphism
elves have less sexual dimorphism than Humans and many other races. Females tend to have slightly less height, weight, bone density, and muscle mass than males, but not so drastically so as in humans. Compared to humans, elven males are more elegant, and are less predisposed to having a largely-muscled or broad-shouldered body type.

Reproduction
Female elves reach their fertile period only once per year in the spring, and they do not get pregnant as readily as human females. They also view intimacy a little differently; both sexes have hormones that make it feel more emotionally intense and vulnerable, leading many to consider it abstractly sacred. Therefore, elves are a little less likely to be promiscuous than humans in general, though there also those who fall on the complete opposite end of the spectrum and enjoy baring their souls to anyone that catches their eye. Overall, elves have a lower birth rate than humans. The gestation period for elves is around 8 months. Elven babies tend to be slightly smaller than human babies, but otherwise develop similarly during their first year of life.
