1. Races

Eldrisi

Physical Description
Like other type of elves, the Eldrisi are slender and lithe, with almost unnerving natural beauty. They generally have black, gray, or white hair. Their eyes can be almost any color.

Sexual Dimorphism
elves have less sexual dimorphism than Humans and many other races. Females tend to have slightly less height, weight, bone density, and muscle mass than males, but not so drastically so as in humans. Compared to humans, elven males are more elegant, and are less predisposed to having a largely-muscled or broad-shouldered body type.

Origin and History
The elves believe they were created by beings called the Elhondi, which are powerful spirits that align with aspects of the natural world and with everything that it means to be alive. Each of the subraces might define and describe these beings differently than other elves, but the similarities definitely imply a shared culture back in lost days.

Where they live
The Eldrisi live in Kyoshu and thus far, though they have visited and traveled and learned, they haven't shown much interest in settling anywhere else.

Aging
Elves physically age more slowly than humans, slowing as they get older. They reach puberty around age 15-20, and are considered adolescent from age 15-29. They earn their coming of age rite somewhere between 24-32, and are considered in their prime at 30-49. They are considered experienced at ages 50-89. They are middle-aged from 90-149. The are considered old from ages 150-189. They are considered venerable at ages 190+. The oldest known elf to ever live was 213 years old.

Strengths
Agility, intellect, perception, stealth, survival, perception, mental fortitude, smell like nature and are difficult to track

Weaknesses
Strength, health, invent, weak to Cold Iron, Elven metabolism (see below), low tolerance for poisons/substances

Innate Abilities
Trance

Senses
Partial night vision, better sense of smell and hearing than humans

Reproduction
Female elves reach their fertile period only once per year in the spring, and they do not get pregnant as readily as human females. They also view intimacy a little differently; both sexes have hormones that make it feel more emotionally intense and vulnerable, leading many to consider it abstractly sacred. Therefore, elves are a little less likely to be promiscuous than humans in general, though there also those who fall on the complete opposite end of the spectrum and enjoy baring their souls to anyone that catches their eye. Overall, elves have a lower birth rate than humans. The gestation period for elves is around 8 months. Elven babies tend to be slightly smaller than human babies, but otherwise develop similarly during their first year of life.
