Origin: Moonkin are born to mortal parents but have ancient Dymarnian beings in their lineage.
Language: Moonkin typically speak the language of their mortal parent race, inheriting the linguistic abilities of their mortal ancestry. Moonkin also speak in Tongues (see below).
Traits: Moonkin inherit most of their physical traits from their mortal parents. The color of a Moonkin's hair is determined by the genetics of their human ancestors. Generally, it ranges from platinum if they would have had blond hair, light tan if they would have had brunette hair, silver if they would have had black hair, light peach if they would have had red hair, or white if the underlying color doesn't show through.
Abilities: Moonkin possess Darkvision, allowing them to see in the dark. They achieve this by calling moonlight to reflect off their eyes, causing a slight glow. The effectiveness of their Darkvision is dependent on the phases of the moons, Katergis and Synigora. As long as neither moon is in its New Moon phase, Moonkin can utilize their Darkvision. However, if both moons are in the New phase, Moonkin may have reduced visibility in the dark.
Moonkin also inherit the Tongues ability from their Dymarnian ancestors. When they speak, the sounds they produce have an otherworldly quality that mortals find difficult to replicate. Their words are comprehensible to anyone capable of speech, transcending language barriers. Moonkin can understand all languages spoken to them, regardless of their origin. Moonkin have to choose to focus on this ability to use it.
