Primevals are alone, test power and trigger random events. Chaos and collision, desolation and destruction.
The end of the Roving: Deity arrive, attracted by chaos. Influence chaos and sparks, pull and create power until life is established.
Deities experiment with powers, trying their hand at creation. this utilized both their power and the forces present due to the Primordials
Deity create humanity, the first successful presence of intelligent life. All deities claimed a part in this creation.
Primevals continue to
wreak havoc and chaos. Gods are split: the Divinities seek to subdue the
Primevals and safeguard their creations. The Rivers (RYE-vers) wanted to twist
their creations into vessels which could survive become synergistic with the
chaos of the Primevals. The Divinities subdued the Primevals, using their power
to grant further innate power to their creations. The Rivers were exiled. This marks the end of The Trials
Kingdoms, power, culture, development. The world, now tamed and habitable, was home to the peoples and creatures. They learned, grew, experimented, challenged, and pushed the limits of every field. The Divinities were very involved in this period, ushering civilization forward towards their idea of development and progress.
Rivers returned, feeling they should also have agency over the direction and fate of their creations. Their influence was felt by the Divinities. Primevals reawakened and devotion to the Divinities spread thinner. The creations had developed autonomy, and questioned their actual influence on their existence.
The Divinities and the Rivers clashed, destroying much of their creations and their developments in the process. A bloody and difficult battle, the Divinities and the creations against the Rivers and the creatures of chaos and destruction which spawned from their accumulated power. The Divinities succeeded, and banished the Rivers again.
Recognizing that a continued struggle between these parties would result in the complete destruction of the world, the creations proposed that the Divinities would remove themselves from the world, seal themselves and all other influences away from Al'tehrun. Beskem and Duxen aided this effort, and the people created the Ends of Empyrean, a sort of bulwark around Al'tehrun which had the goal of limiting divine influence on the lands and the peoples. The Divinities departed, and the survivors began to rebuild and live on.
This marks the end of the Cataclysm.
Current age: people and creatures live, worship, learn, and develop how they choose. The devout maintain communication, and the Divinities exert their influence however they can, but only so far as the Ends of Empyrean allows. Rivers exist in their own imprisonments, on complete planes or demi planes of the Divinities or their own making. They also continue to seek to move the needle on their creations' direction, and return home.
