In the basin of the Fyrbak Desert, surrounded by the rocky Hafasahn Highlands, lies the lawless, sand swept city of Verdobe.
Verdobe wa s a sprawling, sun-scorched settlement nestled in the heart of the Fyrbak Desert,
an arid expanse known for its shifting sands and jagged mesas surrounded on all most sides by the Hafasahn Highlands. Founded
by nomadic traders and outlaws seeking refuge from the prying eyes of
governments, Verdobe thrived in its chaos—a loose confederation of
opportunists, rogues, and adventurers drawn to its lawless allure. A
town where deals are struck over sandy saloon tables, fortunes are won
or lost with a single hand of cards, and justice, if it comes, is
usually dealt at the end of a blade or a pistol.
The settlement is
defined by its haphazard architecture, a blend of adobe buildings,
tents, and wooden shacks that seem to grow organically from the desert
floor. It’s a place of opportunity, but also danger, as the town’s fragile
order was upheld by a patchwork of influential factions, like the
Oxblood Outriders rather than any
centralized authority. The only presence in the region which power dwarfed all others are the
Dragons of the
Chrysun Gales, who were rarely seen flying from and around their home up in the eastern portion of the
Hafasahn Highlands.
